According to a recent report by the WSJ, Google is getting ready to settle with the FTC over the privacy violation relating to Apple’s Safari browser, and Google will end up paying a find of around $22.5 million US dollars.
The FTC had previously charged Google with violating users privacy on Apple’s Safari browser, where privacy setting were apparently bypassed, and Safari was allegedly tricked into accepting an advertising cookie.
The $22.5 million fine is expected to be the largest fine levied on a company by the US federal Trade Commission, although this is not a large amount to Google.
