Priyanka Chopra got agitate with Kareena Kapoor

There are no points for guessing that two of the contemporary actresses in Bollywood- Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor- don't really get along well. Latest buzz doing rounds is that preferential treatment given to Bebo at a recent awards ceremony miffed Pee Cee.

"Priyanka, who was supposed to dance to Yash Chopra's songs, had been practicing hard since the afternoon. She had been sweating it out on the floor when, closer to the show time she noticed Kareena sailing in. This was her first public appearance post wedding, and Bebo simply breezed in and out without putting in even as much as a fraction of the effort or time that Priyanka had for the show. This irked PeeCee no end," an eye witness told Mumbai Mirror.
"She threw a fit behind closed doors, upset with the organizers with their preferential treatment. And though she was professional enough to go through the rest of the evening, she was visibly agitated. Her argument was, why would a star of her stature be expected to go through the grind of rehearsals when her contemporary is allowed to breeze in and out," the tabloid quoted another source as saying.

Bebo-PC Cold War:

Bebo had commented about Priyanka Chopra's accent on Karan Johar's chat show Koffee With Karan saying: "I wonder where Priyanka got her accent from?" Priyanka had responded saying: "I want to tell Kareena that I got my accent from the same place where her boyfriend got his," referring to Saif and her education overseas.

PC had also said, "I don't think people take Kareena too seriously." When she was asked what she would steal from computers of Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid, Kareena and others, Priyanka giggled and asked, "Does Kareena have a computer in the first place?"

Shahid Kapoor, who was earlier dating Kareena Kapoor, was said to be in a relationship with Priyanka Chopra at that time. Rumour mills suggested this was one of the reasons for icy vibes between the gorgeous ladies.

Priyanka reacted to Kareena's recent comment about not caring about national awards. Kareena had said: "I don't want the national award… I seriously don't need any such thing. I would only want the audience to go and watch the film once and that will be more than enough for me. Once everybody should see the movie and say it is a good watch." Priyanka took a jibe saying: "Well, I guess if you don't have one (National Award), then sour grapes!"

Interestingly, Piggy Chops wasn't invited to any of Saif-Kareena's wedding ceremonies as well!

Kareena Kapoor embracing Islam

One of the top actresses of Indian cinema from 'Bollywood' and member of famous Kapoor Family, Kareena Kapoor has decided to change her religion after she bonds with Saif Ali Khan, actor & member of Pataudi Nawab family in India. According to sources inside Kapoor Family, most of the members of the Bollywood actress are showing anger at Kareena's decision to convert into Islam, as Saif Ali Khan has been pursuing her to follow the path of his mother – Sharmila Tagore, who embraced Islam after marrying Saif Ali Khan's father and changed her name to Begum Ayesha Sultana, when she married Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, Nawab of Pataudi - former captain of the Indian cricket team, in a ceremony held on 27 December 1969.

Saif Ali Khan's current girlfriend Kareena Kapoor was born into a family where her parents, Randhir Kapoor and Babita, and elder sister Karisma were actors; she faced the media spotlight at a young age but did not make her acting debut until the 2000 film Refugee. Her melodrama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham - became India's highest-grossing film in the overseas market in 2001, and is one of her greatest commercial successes to date. After receiving negative reviews for a series of repetitive roles, Kapoor accepted more demanding parts to avoid being typecast and was recognized by critics for displaying greater versatility as an actress. Her portrayal of a sex worker in Chameli (2004) proved to be the turning point in her career, and she was later noted for her performances in the critically acclaimed films Dev (2004) and Omkara (2006). She went on to play the lead female role in the Imtiaz Ali-directed romantic comedy Jab We Met (2007, for which she received the Filmfare Award for Best Actress) and the drama 3 Idiots (2009, the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time).

Kareena's family is excited about her marrying to Saif Ali Khan, the Nawab of Pataudi and a billionaire owning number of multinational businesses; they are unhappy with her decision to change her religion from Hinduism to Islam. Kareena Kapoor's mother, actress Babita, who is one of the strongest supporters of Kareena's decision to marry Saif Ali Khan, is also arguing the issue of her religious conversion. But, family of Saif Ali reportedly had told Kareena Kapoor that, unless she changes religion, the marriage may not take place. They even told her that the legal inheritor to Pataudi Family cannot be from any non-Muslim background, indicating, Kareena Kapoor's children should surely put up with Muslim identity.

The sources inside both Kapoor and Khan Families indicated that the issue of religious conversion of Kareena Kapoor had delayed the wedding ceremony for months and finally Kareena Kapoor has made her mind to accept Islam and change her name from Kareena Kapoor to Kareena Khan. But inner circle of Kareena Kapoor are awaking her about consequences in her film career, if she would left Hinduism, which would hurt the religious emotions of millions of her Hindu fans around the world. Kareena Kapoor reportedly is preparing to become a good housewife, after marrying Saif Ali Khan.

We wish them Happy Married Life!

Heroine vs Dirty Picture

In Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine, Kareena will be seen as a superstar. Heroine is set to release on September 21, which happens to be Kareena's birthday. Madhur is all praise for Kareena, and says she has done a fabulous job and is sure that she will get a national award.
The actress's upcoming venture Heroine is said to be similar to Vidya Balan's The Dirty Picture. The actress denied any similarity between the two movies and stated, "I am not getting into anyone's shoes. I am very much comfortable in my shoes and nobody fits into my size. I am not going anywhere. Heroine is not a dirty film...its completely different from 'The Dirty Picture'. It is unfair to compare the two films. The Dirty Picture was based in the 80's but this is a modern day story. 'TDP' was about an item girl, Heroine is about a superstar. I have taken on this film because of the script and not to compete with anyone. I think one should stop making comparisons as it is useless."
The hot Chamak Challo actress, Kareena Kapoor, who has seen ups and downs in the cine field and who feels that her marriage might affect her career, says, "I think I will be like Zohra Sehgal who would be working till 90...so tough luck. I am not going to give my place to anyone."
