Italian Company Makes Hitler Wine Bottles

Two American tourists were outraged after they came across something that you don’t see very day.  An Italian company makes Hitler wine bottles that have labels with images of the long gone Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler.  The wine bottles deeply offended the two tourists, and caused a big controversy.
According to news sources, two American tourists, Michael Hirsch and his wife Cindy voiced their outrage after reporting an Italian winery distributing wine bottles with different images of Adolf Hitler on them.   Michael Hirsch who is a lawyer from Philadelphia contacted the local Italian media after seeing the wine bottles in a supermarket near his hotel in Garda, a city near northern Italy.
Based on a report from Hoffingtonpost, Lunardelli winery has been producing the wine since 1990’s.  The wine company claims that the wine bottle is part of their “Historical Line” wine productions.  The wine company also produces wine labeled with images of other historical figures such as Pope John Paul II, Winston Churchill, former Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, and some others.
According to Hirsch One bottle features Hitler with his arm raised in the Nazi, another is labeled ”Mein Kampf” and another was labeled “Ein volk, ein Reich, ein Fuhrer” (one people, one empire, one Fuhrer).  Hirsch told Daily Telegraph “it is very shocking and startling to us.”  Daily Telegraph reports that Cindy Hirsch’s father is an Auschwitz survivor born in Czechoslovakia.  Some other Cindy’s family members including her grandparents and aunt died in Auschwitz.  Mrs. Hirsch said, “It is not only an affront to Jews, even if my husband and I are Jewish. It is an affront to humanity as a whole.”

The Italian integration minister, Andrea Riccardi said, “I want to reassure our American friends who visit our country that our Constitution and our culture reject racism, anti-Semitism and Nazi fascism.”
There are reports that the owner of the supermarket selling the wine is defending its sales and he said that “it was part of history, like Che Guevara.”
There unconfirmed reports that the Italian wine company has since pulled all Hitler labeled wine bottles off the shelves.
